唸sjsu的人似乎比sfsu多呢! (另有WST問題)

大家好啊, 小弟剛報了SPRING 08 的SJSU跟SFSU (UNDERGRAD)
偶爾發現了這個論壇
看了幾頁, 感覺SJSU的論壇似乎都比SFSU的熱鬧
小弟對美國不熟悉, 請問兩所學校的名氣請問有差很多嗎?

另外, 對於大家都聞風色變的WST
聽說SFSU可以拿課代替? 就是說, 拿過某些課就不用考過WST了?
只有SJSU對WST特別嚴格
這又是真的嗎?

最後一個問題, 對於WST
小弟打算在入學前先去考一次, 一來自己準備的時間跟臨場經驗都會更多
請問入學之前能考嗎? (現在唸COMMUNITY COLLEGE)

準備方式請扒一下之前的文章
入學前有學生證號碼就可以考了

學校名氣因科系不同
USnews每年都有統計全美的名次供參考

I think it's mainly because students from the schools in SF don't go to this website that much... Those from the South Bay come here more. ( I live in the South Bay, so. ) There are tons of TWese students in SFSU. I think TWese students were among the third biggest international student groups in SFSU when I was there, about 2 years ago.

For WST, I guess it's very hard. I have some undergraduate friends in SJSU and they all complained about it very much. A couple of them even have to stay in school longer in order to pass the exam. For SFSU, I don't know - I went there for my M.S..

WST的考題不難.難在時間限制

45分鐘要答70題選擇, 讀文章慢的人超吃虧

明明不是不會,但是就是寫不完.

作文題目也很簡單,但是簡單到太籠統

讓人不知道要從何寫起.加上一樣有45分鐘限制

其中有15分鐘不准寫在作文本上(只能寫在他們發的空白紙)

所以只有半小時可以寫. 萬一開始的15分鐘想不到好題材..

那差不多就準備下次再來了

文法不好的人就更慘了.一定要留5分鐘檢查..

不然很容易因為文法被拉低分數.

there is similar test, but you can take some class instead taking the test :)
