Everyone:
Hello from Adam and Rae!
Some of you may have heard, but for those not in the know, we've been
working on a documentary film about the extraordinary life of China's
first feminist, Qiu Jin. Back in January, we filmed our teaser trailer
for the project, which you can view here:

We just got back from a three-week trip to China, where we interviewed
scholars and got a lot of new footage for the film. We're currently
getting ready for our U.S. production, to be filmed in the Bay Area in
May and June.
We are looking for people to be supporting actors and extras in the
film. If you or someone you know fits into one of the following
categories and would like to be an extra, send us an email.
1. Asian men (able to pass for Chinese) with shaved heads, 20's - 30's
yrs. old.
2. Asian men (able to pass for Chinese) with short or slicked back hair,
20's - 30's yrs. old.
3. Asian women (able to pass for Chinese), 20's - 30's yrs. old.
4. Asian women (able to pass for Chinese), teens - 30's yrs. old with
knowledge of wushu basics.
5. Asian men with shaved heads, 40's-60's yrs. old.
6. Asian women, 40's-60's yrs. old.
We are especially in need of people in the first category. Check out our
casting call page on the website for more info:

In other exciting news, we now have a fiscal sponsor! Film Arts
Foundation in San Francisco, a 501(c)(3) organization, will act as our
funds manager and accept donations on our behalf. These donations are
then tax-deductible as allowed by law. Check out our Support page to
find out how you can donate to our project:

We'll be posting more updates to the website soon. Let us know if you
would like to get involved and be part of our film!
