Hi,

We are seeking consultants for the following position

Job Title: IT System Admin

Location: San Francisco, CA

Duration: 11 Months

Responsibilities

*    Responsible for the administration and support of business critical, web-based portal applications
*    Monitor and troubleshoot incoming end-user requests for assistance.
*    Create, publish and maintain documentation and procedures for Portal application support.
*    Continually monitor production environment and enhance monitoring schemes and alerts where needed.
*    Provide planning assistance to Portal Manager for Portal fixes and major/minor application releases
*    Help plan and coordinate application/front-end/system/interface outages and interruptions.
*    Serve as the Portal expert to the team on new and upcoming projects

Skills Required

Understanding of web applications and supporting technologies such as
search, document repositories and content management
*       Experience with supporting Java (JDK) and .NET applications
*       Experience managing Windows 2000/2003 and Linux/Unix systems
*       Experience with application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic, IIS)
*       Experience with application and systems monitoring tools and best practices
*       Understanding of database technologies (MS SQL, Oracle)
*       Understanding of ACL''s and permission settings such as Active Directory
*       24/7 support of production environment (rotation)
*       Basic HTML skills, understanding of J2EE and .NET
EDUCATION >>   BS or BA in MIS, computer science, or other technical field
