Hi all,
I have two positions open immediately for junior level DNA sequencer service engineer.
No prior experience required. Candidate must be willing to travel (5 days a week) and with the knowledge of troubleshooting general electronic components.
Competitive salary based on your experience and qualification.
Although company located in CA, you only need to go there for training for a few months. I'll send you back to east coast, most likely Boston, New York, Washington DC area.

Title: Entry‐level Service Engineer
Job Type: Full‐time.
Description:
Seqgen is a California, USA based sequencer service company . Our customers include but not limited to pharmaceutical, university, research institute, biotech, and forensic industry. We are dedicated to provide contract service to our customer world‐wide. We also refurbish, resell new or used lab equipments, mostly DNA sequencer, real‐time PCR, thermocycler, and reagents.
Requirement:
BS or MS degree in biology, chemistry, engineering, computer, or related fields.
Valid driver’s license and good driving records.
Knowledge in electronics, mechanics, and good in troubleshooting.
Fluent in English conversation, sometimes communicate with customer via phone and email.
Will be based in either Los Angeles, CA or Lyndhurst, NJ.
Will sponsor H1 working visa for qualified employee.
Job duties:
Study manufacture service manual and follow the standard procedure to complete the service.
Learn how to refurbish an instrument, which includes disassemble, reassemble, replace and troubleshoot
Travel to customer site in a timely and economic manner by air, driving or public transportation.
Perform on‐site service for installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting & repair, train user how to operate the instrument.
Repair or reinstall computer and applications in order to operate the instrument.
Answer customer questions and provide remote assistance via email, phone or remote access.
Write service report and send to the manager for record tracking.
This job is customer service oriented and always has the last minute emergency call. Although we try to avoid weekend work, it really depends on the urgency of our customer. Over‐time work will be compensated with vacation or paid day off afterward when there is less service calls.
Salary & Benefit:
