大家好我是明年要去的新生,想問一些問題

我今年高中剛畢業,應該會從明年一月開始讀,有幾個問題想請教各位學長姐:

1.我是社會組的學生,請問placement test只考數學跟英文嗎??

2.對社會組而言,數學要考哪一個等級的??

3.還有英文要考哪一個等級,我英文程度還好而已

4.因為我想在兩年後能夠轉UC,請問學分要多少才夠??

5.還有另外如果有什麼要特別注意的事可以提醒我嗎?

1. placemet test is designed to determine what level of your knowledge is on the subject. if you score high enough in the placement test, you may be able to waive some easier class, and take the advance class.
example: English 1A is college level English. if you score high in the English placement test, then you can take English 1A in the 1st quarter.
On the other hand, if you score low, then you need to take a few ESL classes first.
2. i think there is only 1 or 2 choices for math placement tests. so, take the easier one if you are going to study 社會組
3. there is only 1 English placement test. so, just take it.
4. each school has different requirement for transfer students. but usually, you should have 90 units before you transfer. However, you should look for the "Transfer center" in De Anza and find the 'actual requirement' from each school.
5. STUDY ENGLISH as much as u can !!!

placement test有 數學 英文 化學 生物 物理, 看妳要轉學的主修而定, 社會組我不清楚你要念哪個主修 可是你可以去www.assist.org去找轉學的requirements. 妳兩年要轉UC的話,  不修暑休的話 要每學期15學分(15*3 = 45) *2 = 90(required for transfer). 至於特別注意的.. calculus placement test,跟自然系列的placement test都有限定日期考,剩下的ESL english, computer math, college math 考試隨時都可以考.

是不是placement test考的太差,就算之後的成績再好都不容易申請到UC啊??

It's just a placement test. base on your scores , place you into different level in that subject.    but if you have really low English score, you might get placed into really low level english class(level). then it will take you a long time to transfer. same with other subject.  you all need to finish all subject (in or close to  college level) in order to transfer. you will need to finish the subject even higher level if it's your major.
most important , whether or not you can transfer in UC, it's all base on your grade in the school , especially your major classes.
