I think it will be better you find the job first before you move. San Francisco's living expenses are high . And if you can't really live without Taiwanese stuff, LA might be better fit for you. I believe there are more Taiwanese in south bay area ( San Jose...)
I believe you are legal resident in us and single. most likely every paycheck , the government take out ~30% of what you earn.
SF and surrounding area, I will say the average sale tax is 9% ( SF is higher).
I think it will be better you share the rent with someone. (get a roommate )
After you feel comfortable with everything( jobs, living environment....etc), then you can move out and live alone.
